T.I.’s triumphant return to the airwaves has been delayed by a number of unfortunate setbacks, like that time he and his wife got caught in a weedmobile just a few months after his March 2010 release from a halfway house after his weapons conviction.
But now that the rapper is finally regaining his out-of-state travel privileges, it’s time for him to start promoting his eighth studio album, Trouble Man. Originally slated for a summer release, the album now has a confirmed September 4 release date that aligns with the September 3 premiere of the rapper‘s new VH1 reality show, The Family Hustle. It also has an extremely catchy single in “Like That,” a “give ‘em what they want” track that delivers the relentless flow The King’s fans know and love.
It’s refreshing to hear at least one new summer song that doesn’t sound like David Guetta’s spewed his glow sticks all over it.
