‘Singles Ladies’ Director ‘Happy’ About Stacey Dash Departure

D.B. Woodside says he isn’t crying over Stacey Dash‘s departure from Single Ladies and says he is actually “happy” she’s gone.

Stacey announced her departure from the show last year claiming she wanted to spend more time with her family. Aside from the directors whom she allegedly fought with, one other person who isn’t sad about her absence from the set is Woodside, who says he even celebrated after hearing the news.

“I don’t want to cause any trouble, but I, for one, am happy she’s gone. It’s a much better place to be ,” he told V-103 during an interview.

“I’m just going to keep it straight. I’m just going to keep it real. I am happy that she’s not there anymore. When I first heard that Stacey was leaving, I went out and celebrated and had some drinks.”

While Stacey dodged questions of her supposed diva behavior on set, Woodside says she did make it difficult for both the cast and crew on set.

Last year was very difficult at times to go to set with all that tension that was going on with Stacey. So I wish her well. I’m sure she’s off doing something else,” he admitted.

Sounds like it was a good move for Stacey to leave!
