Do Tyler Perry Movies Give Black People A Bad Name?

Diana Ross reportedly doesn’t approve of Tyler Perry‘s movies and has turned down the chance to appear in his films several times.

The legendary soul singer believes that the ‘Madea’ franchise could ruin her legacy and doesn’t want to be seen stereotyping black people.

“The last thing she wants is to co-star in a cheesy comedy starring a black man in a fat suit playing a half-cocked, angry old woman waving a gun,” a source said.

Tyler Perry recently admitted: “She’s been ignoring me for years. She’s the only person that I have dreamed of working with that will not return my phone calls.”

Does Diana have a point is Madea giving black people a bad look?
