Kris Humphries just may have the last word in his love triangle with Kim Kardashian and Kanye West.
The power forward has re-signed with the Brooklyn Nets in a two-year, $24 million deal and is now humorously poking fun at Kanye’s musical diatribe flexing his “power†with Nets co-owner Jay-Z against him.
“Kris has been a very consistent player for us over the past two years,†Nets general manager Billy King said in a statement. “He has developed into one of the top rebounding forwards in the league, and we are very pleased to welcome him back.â€
Best known to the public for his 72-day marriage to Kardashian (who he’s now in the middle of divorce proceedings with) Humphries was name-checked in West’s track “Cold†(aka “Therafluâ€) with the now infamous line: “And I’ll admit, I fell in love with Kim / ‘Round the same time she had fell in love with him / Well that’s cool, baby girl, do ya thing / Lucky I ain’t have Jay drop him from the team.â€
Following the news that he re-upped with the Brooklyn Nets, Humphries posted the following tweet:
