Who hasn’t cowered behind a magazine or wrapped yourself silly in a scarf when you the feel that someone is staring at the pimple on your forehead, or at the unsightly breakout along your neckline? Well, ladies, it’s time to tackle body acne and the damage it’s wreaking on our self-esteem.
In the video above, BellaSugar reporter Kirbie Johnson takes us through a three-step process to banishing body acne. First, it is essential to cleanse clogged pores daily with an anti-bacterial soap (use a back scrubber for those hard-to-reach spots) — be sure to look out for products containing tea tree oil as it’s a natural antiseptic that works to kill germs. Then, swipe skin with cleansing pads containing salicylic acid to prevent future breakouts. Finish with a spot treatment to reduce the appearance of dark spots and blemishes, and definitely don’t skip the sunscreen if you’re heading out.
