Women’s Group Goes After Tyler Perry for His HIV Movie

ewoewiweiowe

Tyler Perry’s biggest and most loyal fan base consists of African American women. So, you can imagine that he pays attention when a group of black women speak out against him.  Perry is being accused of attaching ugly stigmas to those who are infected with HIV by portraying the disease as the result of a breakdown in morality and discipline.

The The Positive Women’s Network of the United States of America is disappointed with Perry’s latest film, “Temptation,” which shows a woman contracting HIV for being irresponsible in her sexuality.  She succumbs to temptation and sleeps with a man who is not her husband.  By the end of the film, the woman is broken down and remorseful for her decision to stray from both God and good behavior, so the moral of the story appears to be that if you catch HIV, it’s usually because you’ve chosen to be an immoral person and a bad woman.
