Australian entertainment business KP Records was officially founded in January 2007 by local music promoter and artist Big Dave Parsons. The business currently functions as a record label, an artist management company and a promotions and event staging venture amongst other things.

The label, affectionately known to fans as ‘KP’ grew from humble beginnings as a $100 pc in a spare room and has developed to be the heart of Hip Hop in Australia’s Capital City of Canberra.

With national and sometimes even international media coverage the music and message of KP has spread well beyond the City’s borders and continues to do so. Like its growing support base the labels roster of artists has expanded outside of its Canberra region.

The KP roster itself features a broad range of unique styles and talented artists whose sound is just as diverse as the cultures and back grounds from which they came. The current roster includes;  Big Dave (MC), Grantwho? (DJ/Producer), N2W (DJ Frags and MC Mibs), Kitty B (RnB soul vocalist), Dlinkwnt (MC), Bishop (MC) , Pug D (MC), Collossuss (MC) and Eitha (MC).

The KP crew have performed around Australia at everything from pub gigs to festivals and as a concert promotions company they are the largest scale provider of Hip Hop events in the city of Canberra.

The KP team has recorded, toured and performed with acts like; Ice Cube, Bone Thugs N Harmony, D12, Obie Trice, Tech N9ne, Kurupt, Xzibit, Joell Ortiz, KRS One, The Outlawz, WC, Crazytown, De La Soul, Kool Keith, Koolism and many other well respected names in the Hip Hop genre.

Alongside the music and media KP also dedicates some of its focus representing for the roots of its community planning and executing various youth and human rights initiatives for prison inmates and disadvantaged local teens.
