Shia LaBeouf came under fire last month for allegedly plagiarizing comic author Daniel Clowes work in a short film he produced. And now he’s doing yet another apology towards the writer…and this one is definitely original.
The 27-year-old actor was accused of taking the plotline – and entire sections of dialogue from Justin M. Damiano, a 2007 novella that Clowes penned.
When called out on it, the Transformers star admitted he’d taken quite a bit of creative license with Clowes work and admitted he “f*cked up.”
To make matters worse, his apology consisted of lines taken from a yahoo! answers page which led to critics claiming he plagiarized his apology…for plagiarizing!
Now he’s taken to a completely original way of apologizing to the author…by posting a photo-shopped picture of a sky-written apology.
He posted a photo to his Twitter with the words “I am sorry Daniel Clowes” in the sky and captioned it : “CLOUD: – vapor floating in the atmosphere – remote servers used to SHARE DATA – to make LESS CLEAR or TRANSPARENT.”
Well, at least this apology is unique.
