Teen pop star Meredith O’Connor explains her advocacy for anti-bullying and does an exclusive performance of her song “Just the Thing.”

Born and raised in Long Island, Meredith realized she had a love of music as a young child. She began working with theater companies in New York City. Marching to thebeat of her own drum, O’Connor often found herself being bullied by classmates in grade school, but always did her best not to let the negative words of others affect her dreams of one day being on Broadway. She came to the realization that bullies will always find a way to pick on others and that she should be true to who she is. She released her first single “Celebrity” in 2013 and it was an instant hit. She released her second single “The Game,” which her fans felt was a touching representation of the trials and tribulations they face each and every day. O’Connor has been told by thousands that this song has saved them and given them clarity in their darkest days.
